Today in Italy about 300* wild honeybees colonies are detected, half of them are in urban areas. Every 26 children we educate with TIME-hive, we install 1 wooden shelters on the territory

According to TIPS RICERCHE research, Alpha generation children fear “biodiversity loss” and would like to make a positive change . By interviews conducted in 2023, both teachers and parents are looking for incisive MATERIALS and TOOLS to face the Environmental challenge!
The game is an effective and incisive learning tool: sitting down around the table for a card game represents a real collective experience that allows to deepen relevant scientific contents, while having fun!

Why a wild honeybees shelter?
65 wooden shelters for wild colonies
Today in Europe half of wild pollinator insects is in danger - ISPRA, 2020.
Domus Mellifera project aims at making citizens aware of biodiversity respect and protection.
This wooden shelter represents the perfect repair for wild honeybees colonies, home for these families which need to be protected against natural and Climate Change challenges.
Moreover, all the protected colonies become an important reserve of genetic heritage, to be obbserved and studied.
We want to create impact through the game:
educate new generations on ‘wild honeybees’ topic
and protect as much biodiversity as possible!
